What to Expect From Your Sessions
Your hypnotherapy journey begins with a chat about what you want to achieve from the treatment and how I might be able to help you reach those goals. I’ll explain how hypnotherapy and the subconscious works, and we’ll identify what current thought processes and belief systems you have in place are getting in your way. Then I can devise a plan on which hypnosis techniques will be most successful in helping you to make long-lasting, positive change.
After this chat I’ll guide you into hypnosis; a wonderful deep relaxation that helps you to switch off your thinking mind and in turn helps your subconscious become more open and receptive. Rest assured that hypnosis is a collaborative process and you’ll only go along with something that you’re happy to go along with. Hypnosis isn’t about mind control. All you’ll feel is beautifully relaxed. Some people find their mind will wander and they stop paying attention to what I’m saying, and others are more inquisitive and happier to follow every word. There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis, just as long as you remain open to the possibilities.
At the end of the session, you may have some techniques to go away and practice, but in most instances, you’ll just get on with your day-to-day life, confident in the knowledge that the powerful elements of the session will be processed ‘behind the scenes’ at a deeper level within your subconscious.
Please allow up to 1.5 hours for the initial session.
My online sessions can enable you to get the help you need from wherever you are.
I have been successfully treating clients overseas via Skype and Zoom for many years, so whether you are in London, the USA, Australia or wherever else, I can provide you with the same professional service that my face-to-face clients receive.
I am fully insured to offer hypnotherapy online, wherever in the world you reside.
Frequently asked questions about online therapy:
Is it as affective as face-to-face sessions?
Absolutely! I have been carrying out online sessions over 3 years now, and they are very affective, it would be interesting to know that some therapists only provide online sessions.
What do I need to do to ensure my online hypnotherapy sessions are effective?
It is best to use a tablet, laptop or computer for your online therapy appointment rather than a smartphone – something that won’t require you to hold it. You will need a webcam and microphone – built in ones are fine.
It is not necessary to create the perfect ambient, peaceful setting for your online hypnotherapy session. It would be beneficial, however, to find a room with minimal disturbance from other household members and pets, and to ensure you have turned off your mobile and all apps on your computer.
Find somewhere you can comfortably sit down and where I will be able to see you clearly via your computer’s camera. You need to be visible and comfortable.
What happens if we lose connection
I will discuss with you beforehand a plan of action, but rest assured that hypnosis is a wonderfully safe treatment and you remain in control at all times. Should we lose connection, your subconscious will invite you back to full wakefulness and I will contact you via phone, text or email to reconnect.
